I Just bought Nature and Other Writing by Emerson, who is one of my heroes. The first quotes is from Circles, even before the essays begin. It seems the quote is used so early because it fits Emerson's philosophy and life so well. Hopefully, it hasn't been used yet, but if so, first, let me apologise, second, I REAFFIRM the following:
"Alas for this infirm faith, this will not strenuous, this vast ebb of a vast flow! I am God in nature; I am a weed by the wall." Emerson- "circles"
